Maîtresse - Allen Jones
You’ll probably know pop artist Allen Jones for his controversial sculptures of scantily clad women-as-furniture from the 1960s. It’s his paintings, however, that take the limelight in this exhibition. Not that the ladies are absent; the recurring ‘maîtresse’ in this collection of images is a reference to the 1975 film of the same name.
